just created my network using the paid premium service, and suddenly it’s blocked…. I’m from China and I’m totally speechless… I hate the government!

Yes you’re right, I just created a network about a month ago, for us friends living in China to be in touch with each other and I can’t access the site for the last 2 days…..
The problem is you can’t even find somebody from the security bureau to find out “WHY” The site is blocked………
Internet is getting trillion $$$ business, and there are many foreign Internet shops that they blocked it…..
How can somebody do business in China??

You can contact Ning through http://help.ning.com. Their engineers did some sort of IP address voodoo to get some sites back online.

Our Ning sites are also blocked in China. I’ve had trouble tickets into Ning for several days; they answer but little hard information. I’ve also heard about some change in IP so the sites are not blocked in China - but so far Ning hasn’t done this for us. (I’ve asked.)
Any suggestions what we can do, besides wait?

“GZ Stuff, Shanghai Stuff, etc. just made it before the drawbridge closed on Ning sites getting moved to a new IP address. I think Ning is trying to sort out things with the Gov’t now instead.”
Yea, so all you can do is wait, lest you have high enough channels..
Thx Junde - Day 9 or so for us now. For a company in the social networking business, can help but think Ning.com would be a bit more forthcoming with information - good or bad.

I got this web from google search, my ning website has been blocked as well, so what we can do is just write to Ning and Wait…, luckily i have a chinese version website and facebook group and just set up the Ning website, but its still sucks!
Hope this problem will be solved asap!

Our site was visible few hours yesterday, but blocked again today.
Ning email seems to be saying they are checking content - site-by-site. But I don’t have hard information what Ning is doing to resolve.
I have asked to moved to be moved to non-blocked IP, but no luck

China firewall is lame, use water to put out the fire of the wall but how do you get over the wall? – use Freedur.com to bypass it. You can bypass China Great Firewall and access youtube, facebook, blogger and all other sites which are blocked.
Todays update is: Someone from China wanted to join my network but he cannot open it….so are all Nings still blocked?

Moving it to an indepedent domain might help, no guarantees though.

Proxy sites can be a great resource if you want to unblock a page. It lets you get around firewalls that may be blocking your ability to access a site. Unblock Myspace is a great site that will do just that for. Its really cool to cause there is a link there where you can sign up to have all the latest proxies emailed to you. Really helpful for when your proxy gest blocked so you don’t have to go hunting for more right when you only have a few mins and want to get on to myspace real quick and do an update or whatever.
Our renters moved out several months ago and left us with a mess to clean up. Not just have been there holes within the wall, they also destroyed doors, window frames and carpets. They had been very smart and covered up the damage with pictures, posters and curtains so we didn’t realize the extent of the harm until they have been gone. Now we’re fixing up the house so we can rent it again. Thankfully, this career is significantly easier as we have a laptop with wireless capabilities. We’re able to Cant Filter Me. also as other shows so we are entertained even though toiling away. It is excellent that the World wide web offers things of this nature.
My brother-in-law is originally from Mexico and nevertheless struggles to speak clear English. His ESL teacher suggested that he watch American television shows to pick up on idioms which have been commonly used. He loves to Cant Filter Me. so, every chance he gets, he borrows our laptop to try and do just that. My husband and I prefer to see him succeed in this goal so we’re considering purchasing him a laptop for his birthday. He would demand to buy Internet access, but I imagine they can afford that on their monthly budget. I haven’t addressed this with my sister yet, but hope to this weekend.
